Salford Van Hire, one of the UK’s leading vehicle rental companies, has underlined its commitment to the highest standards of efficiency, safety and performance with its latest order of 75 Renault trucks.
The new vehicles include ten Range D320s and 65 Range T460 6x2 TML tractor units equipped with Renault Trucks’ Anti-Runaway Automated Park Brake, which eliminates the risk of uncontrolled vehicle movements caused by human error.
Alessandro Bacci Salford Van Hire, says: “We deliver excellent quality and value to our customers through the performance and reliability of our fleet, with on-road safety an absolute priority. We’ve been impressed with the enhanced safety features offered by Renault Trucks that help safeguard drivers, their loads and other road users, and were particularly interested in the innovative Anti-Runaway factory-fit option on the Range T, which prevents the very serious problem of vehicle runaway situations occurring before they arise. We have had long-term success with the Renault trucks on our fleet for more than 15 years, they are fuel efficient, well-accepted by hirers and a good fit for our clients.”
The new Renault trucks join Salford Van Hire’s contract hire fleet which boasts a host of blue chip names including some of the largest companies in third party logistics operating throughout the UK.
Alongside operational safety and performance, vehicle reliability is essential for Salford Van Hire and its customers, and the company has opted for three year Repair & Maintenance contracts on the new Renault trucks to maximise uptime and ensure the vehicles are always in top condition. Maintenance work is carried out by the Renault Trucks dealer network.
James Charnock, Commercial Trucks and Services Director, Renault Trucks says: “It is great to see Salford Van Hire again selecting the fuel efficient Range T and Range D to work across its fleet and we are delighted to be able to support its drive to raise health & safety standards in the rental sector through innovative technologies such as the Anti-Runaway Automated Park Brake.”
